The adidas Rivalry vs. Superstar Comes in Two OG Options

First previewed by us a few days back as part of adidas’ upcoming Spring/Summer Superstar collection, the upcoming “Verses Pack” is starting to surface in greater detail, with official looks at a handful of pairs starting to filter through. Having just previewed the pack’s Americana and Forum-inspired pairs, now we’ve got our hands on first looks at the pack’s two Rivalry vs. Superstarz in the former’s OG Knicks-inspired makeups.
Originally aligned with New York Knicks Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing, the Rivalry High debuted back in 1986 in colorway very similar to what you see on the Superstar below. The most remembered version (pictured first below) has the liners, midsoles, and Three Stripes all arriving in blue, with subtle accents in orange, The second pair is flipped to an alternate orange-heavy edition, mimicking an often overlooked (and rarely worn) version of the High. Like the others from the pack, it comes capped off with dual-named heel overlays, and Versus branded tongues..
